Gambling won't do you any good!!!!

Well, I was just surfing the net when i went across www.ekantipur.com and saw a big letter headed headline news as:

Now as you read it, it says that the teenager had lost Rs 55000 that his father had saved!! His parent's weren't there in the house when he stole the money. So, he put the money in Kauda game and lost the money. As it happened so, he hunged himself in his room to death!

Most intresting point to be noted in this above case is that all the gambling house where closed during Former District Police Chief Ramesh Kharel's period. Ramesh Kharel who has been renowned in our country as the most dedicated, loyal, honest and true policeman of this nation has done some fantastic work in Birgunj as well during his period. But as he left, it seemed as if like police department collasped and this incident is the PROOF!

We can learn many things from this above incident.
1st is that no teenagers or children should be ever allowed to engage in gambling or should ever be taught about gambling. Gambling is a bad game and ruins everybody and all the money that they have earned in their entire career.

2nd is that it shows our police's weakness. The police which is supposed to protect the law and see that society is going on as per the law and that no one shall avoid it. But the gamblers are gambling like as if it's their normal rights and that nobody can snatch their right !!!!! C'mn Nepal police.. maintaining the law  is all in your hands and if you don't have the willingness to secure it then who else will!! It's surely a concern in a nation like us!!

My all sympathies to the families of that teenager and hope that his parent's even though lost their precious wealth their son, can get financial recovery..:/

Gangam style set to cross 1 billion!!

Oppa Gangam style, song by Korean pop star PSY has gone on to become the most viewed video on youtube beating the 2010 Justin Bieber's no 1 hit "Baby". With over 815 milllion views as on  25th november, 2012, hardly being 5 months of being uploaded! The video is at no time expected to cross 1 billion views on Youtube looking through the rate at which the views is going up and up!

Gangam style usually is about " the perfect girlfriend who knows when to be refined and when to get wild" (as per wikipedia). The song since it's release has become a sensational hit and has chart topped worldwide including No. 1 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany,  South Korea , UK singles and No. 2 in US billboard hot 100 and top 10 in more than 20 countries!!! The song has also been performed by many business tycoons and political leaders including Ban Ki-Moon who called the song as "force for world peace", and also by British Prime Minister David Cameron.(source: Wikipedia)

But there is more than the song that really made this song the BIG HIT! that is the famous "Horse dance" :D
                                              (PSY performing Horse dance: source:knowyourmeme.com)

As you can see above the horse dance was what made PSY so famous! I mean, u ask a person about PSY and he'll tell you more about his horse dance than about his HIT SONG!! The horse dance is PSY's signature dance in which he shuffles along with his unusual hand movement like that of horse rider!!

Well, i guess the more i talk about this song, the more it becomes less! The song is crazy, makes you wanna move your feet, and of course makes you dance!  So all i can say is keep enjoying this song, and "OPPA GANGAM STYLE :D

What I'm listening currently!!

Well today just wanna hear your say about what, which, who's music or songs you are really listening nowdays!! I am a huge fan of western music especially of alternative rock bands NIRVANA and Linkin Park. For me , it seems like hollywood music is really getting boring nowdays.Except for few songs like "Good time", "Diamonds","Castle of glass", " Widw awake" and so on...... :D

(One of my all time favourite Rock band : Linkin Park)

Nowdays i do listen to Linkin park's new song  " Castle of Glass" . Castle of glass is fantastic and is the best song I've heard from the album "Living Things". Castle of glass represents that the person is obsessed with all the worldly pleasures, sacrifices and he realises that the ultimate destiny of a person is death and askes god to forgive his sin.
Similarly another song which is really good from my view is Owl City's " Good Time" :-)
This song reminds me of all the fun time I had with my school's best friend Pratik :D
and i love this song too much <3 p="p">

( a scene from the song " Good Time")

The songs nowdays are good but not cachy.. The songs nowdays aren't quite good as compared to the songs of 2008\09 or 2009\10. There were some great songs at that time and some new artist really turned up as the new face of  western music and created some cool music but that's lacking nowdays..
I  really hope to see some new artists really turning up to the full volume in the future!! :-)

Vote For Pushpa!!

" MY MISSION IS TO MAKE SURE NO CHILD GROWS UP BEHIND PRISON WALLS"

This is what Pushpa Basnet:CNN Hero of the year nominee says and I guess she has been doing that till now. As said in CNN, she doesn't need alarm clock to wake up! rather the sound of 40 children wake her up in a two storyed home that she's been sharing with. And the bigger fact is , all the 40 children are those who once lived inside the prison! Thinking it's not fair, Pushpa then started to get child out of prison and make a place for them where they can make their dreams come true rather than sitting behind the bars for the lifetime. Since 2005, she has assisted more than 100 childrens of inarcerated parents. She has also run daycare program for children under 6 and also a residential place where children of old age can live their normal life and can make their dreams turn to reality.

As stated in CNN, pushpa says that her biggest concern is to find ways to do more to give children a better future. She has setup a bank account recently to save money for higher education and also dreams about having a home where children can live happily and can always have a place to call home.

All the nominees including Pushpa have done great job in their field. They truly are the real heroes, but among them, i believe Pushpa is the best because of what she's done and is doing for the children that are the future of this nation. In order for nation to excel in future growth and development, children's need a secure future for education, health, fooding and the like. Well educated children are a blessing to the nation and Pushpa also realises this. So my voting goes to Pushpa . ALL THE BEST

stupa and pashupatinath temple to be constructed in USA!!

                                                       (source:ekantipur.com)

Pashupatinath Foundation California has bought  nearby church(as in pic) at 10 lakh 50 thousand dollars( 9 crore NRs) and are ready to construct a temple and bouddh stupa. One of foundation's member Gokul Poudyal says to ekanipur.com that they'll make pashupatinath temple and stupa as soon as possible.

The foundation had collected the money by organizing purans, donations and the like. There will also be pooja room, assembly hall, children's playground along with it.

This clearly reflects how much passionate we are in preserving our culture even while staying in teh foreign nations like USA. This will be a perfect platform to unite all the Nepalese who are staying in Los Angeles and a way to show the foreign people what our tradition is.I hope they do it quite well .

one slap! not enough

Getting a slap itself isn't a good thing, nor shows a good sign. It's not only Prachanda nor Jhalanath  Khanal who have got slap, but it's a slap to entire politics of our nation. But how much effective will it be? When Jhalanath Khanal got slapped, sooner or later he became Prime minister, but in his period, what benefits our nation earned? guess NONE! and will it be the same this case?
Only hitting a slap infront of public media won;t be enough. "Heroes are not produced by the act of slapping or being slapped, surely not by neurotic cacophony. They emerge out of a social movement." - SUBAS K.C.( Dean KUSOM). I agree as to what he said. We need change, and that change doesn't come from just hitting a slap! Of course it has made Prachanda ashamed and so does the entire Maoists, but how long will it last?

(person who slapped Prachanda: 25 yearrs old Padam Kunwar)

When Jhalanath Khanal got slapped, Prachanda said that if we don;t act immediately to make furthur improvements for drafting constitution, then soon the people will be ready to throw shoes at them. But now that he's got a taste of it, maoist are blaming the other parties, forces and blah blah blah.... instead of blaming the others, why don;t you learn from it and start to take things seriously!

green mustang!!

Whenever we think of mustang, we think of the barren land, nut now it's becoming greener and greener!(the above pic shows it). As per source from ekantipu.com, various mother clubs, youth organization have attempted to make a much more greener mustang as a part ogf environmental conservation campaign.

"DSCO Chief Hridaya Prasad Shrestha said the campaign was started four years ago and that local people were very enthusiastic about forest conservation. “This campaign will help control soil erosion and also enable local people earn their livelihood through forest resources,” he said. Local residents in the areas have been able to use forest resources for fodder and firewood and environment is also getting cleaner, he added".
This four years campaign(still running) has made most of the people's live easier. Now people have become independent and don't need to go far and wide to collect logs for firewood and the like! If all hills are to be covered with greenaries, then mustang may contribute much for the development of eco-system and also for development of nation's economy as well....

illiterate ambassador !!!!!!

this person's name is vishnu pandey, and let me tell u dat he's an Indian ambassador, but as per the controversial statement he's given, he doesn't look like an ambassador any more and neither deserves to hold that post!!
This man was interviewed at "Korean Times" on June 10 and was asked on topic "Why korean tourist should visit India?" and he replied that at northern part of India, there lies Sagarmatha(Mt. Everest) which is in border between China and India!!!!!
curse you hell ambassador!! it's hard to believe that even an ambassador can speak like this holding such a high post and working as a representative of nation.. this clearly shows two things:
1: 1st is that we are still not able to aware the world that Mt. Everest really lies in Nepal, not in India..
As this is not the 1st time that it has happened! but still why our government is keeping quiet??
What is our government too scared  to say to the world that "COME VISIT NEPAL: THE LAND OF EVEREST"!!!
2: the second thing is that there must be huge indian influence on our political scenario that indians are taking full advantage of this and are promoting to those things which doesn't hold true to their account!! There are cases when India has claimed many times that Lumbini is in India, not in Nepal!!
If this continues like this.. then one day, I believe India may proclaim that Nepal is in India!! all i can say right now is WAKE UP POLITICIANS!! Don't let our country's image down :((

Who is to blame??

Well, we just heard about the disastorous performance by the last year's SLC batch with hardly the half of the total students being passed. That's not surprising though, because of the regular bandh, strikes, andolans and whatsoever, schools including private ones haven't been able to give full attention to completion of the courses in time and make students fit for the Board. So, we can blame the government in this matter.
But the worse factor that's making a big headlines is :WHY DO STUDENTS COMMIT SUCIDE AFTER THEY KNOW THAT THEY HAVE FAILE IN SLC???
It's clear that already 7 students have commited suicide so far... I mean like why do students think that SLC is the end?? why don't they take it as a beginning? Is SLC the end result of what they have done during their years at school careear?? or is it a new begining to explore your talent and show the world who you really are.. One girl from Biratnagar-20 commited suicide by eating a poison used to kill rats!!!!! the girl died after being hospitalized sooner. Now didn't ever a thing came into the girl's mind as to what would happen to her parents when they find that their daughter is no more on this earth. So who is to blame for all this??
Should we blame parents because they have been completely presuurising their children to score best among the best, that getting distinction is a matter of pride and prestige.. Should we blame the government because SLC has been given too much importance than even HSEB or university's board. You can see it for yourselves. People who earn distinction or top class results are widely awareded with huge scholarships and their picture comes in cover page of all newspapers!! but how hardly we see +2 students being honoured in same fashion??we dont's see a +2 student with top grades and getting to a graduate school and his\her photo being brought to a cover page!!! or do we??
I believe things are really getting worse in our country with incidents like this. Just thiink for a moment....
Is securing 95% marks is bigger or securing the student's future is bigger?? I mean to say that is it much important for a student to achieve top marks in exam or is it much important for students to understand that they have a dream to achieve and studies is only a means to reach that peak..  U see, anyone can achieve top class marks with education system like ours, but a great student will not go for marks.. he uses studies to impart the knowledge to his practical life and then achieve his dreams or do something for the society..
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg wasn't a graduate, rather he was a college dropout but yet he is one of the most highly respected person of this morden world with his fantastic invention of what we all know as "facebook"..
So guys, don't loose your hope just because you've failed!!! it's just that god has given you another chance to proove that you are best in what you do!!

bandh,bandh,bandh!!!!!!!!! -_-'

It seems like the good old friend of NEPAL is back!! I hope u all know what I meant to say, It’s nepal bandh of course.. :D .Seriously, I think this so called”bandh” has a lot to do with our country. Many efforts were made to eliminate the culture of “bandh” from our society: leader’s promise not to conduct any strikes in a year, making school as a peace zone not to affected by bandhs, are some of it’s examples , but  still bandh culture is still trending  in NEPAL as if NEPAL and NEPAL BANDH are like husbands and wife!!!
It’s really surprising to know why bandhs really happen in our nation?? C’mn people, I mean  just that some 100-1000 people says that tommorow is gonna be bandh, then what should we follow it blindfoldly??? I mean, we’r over 26 million horsepowers in this nation and still we’r obeying that decisions which really benefits us nothing and only creates chaos among the society. Don’t u see, in today’s KANTIPUR  newspaper(5\18\2012) u’ll see the news that few days ago where price of tomato was hardly Rs. 25\kilo, has now crossed marjin of Rs 80 or somewhere Rs100\kilo!!!! Food prices are rapidly growing up, industries are being shutdown, people are only gettin lazy and much worse than that is the economy is hampered to greatest extent… the ongoing protest in midwestern region of nepal for more than 3 weeks has caused economic downturn of billions of rupees.. As per KANTIPUR newspaper , in ChITWAN (western district of nepal),the economy is getting devasted by loosing  more than Rs 6 crore everyday due to regular strikes and bandhas!!!
Above all of this it’s surprising as to what government is really doing to control this!! Take an example: recently the chettri-brahmin  society, along with dasnami and few others made a strike saying that the bandh will continue on until and unless government doesn’t include them in” adibasi” society rather than at “other’s” society!!! Seriously, I mean like r u kiddin me!! The first thought that arouse in my mind after reading that” yes! Their strike went successful and became adibasi” is that was strike really necessary to do this?? Above all, I don’t think so it takes merely 5-6 days for government to make simple decision as that(as compared to other complex constitutional problems)!! What was government doing at that time???doesn’t the government know how to negotiate quickly or was it them who like wanted few days bandh  to gain some money(corruption and like) and then call for negotiation!!!
uhh, to tell you the truth, this thing is really buzzin my head all the time!! My question is what do you really get by doing this nonsense bandh, strikes and the like???does it satisfies u’r demand?? Is that demand really the people’s demand or demand for their own benefit?? i think they r doing this to make us crap!!! I mean like they call for bandh(ok!! ), but I really don’t see people protesting in the street at all… hardly a few number are there!!!! And still they manage to destroy few vehicles. The police are there, mass is watchin but none does the effort to protect it!!!
common guys, wake up!! We need to be among ourselves especially on matter like this!! We r’nt going to be one of those who sits at bank of river and keeps shouting that the river is dirty, but does nothing  to clean the river!!! And lastly to the bandh makers” if u want to really make bandh, then make it on singhdurbar, make it on baluwatar or @BICC “ but don’t degrade people’s life by  making nonsense bandhss!!!!!!!

"Kul chandra Gautam... Pride of Nepal"

Many Nepalese haven't been able to make a great impression in the world , one of the very few who has done that is Kul Chandra Gautam.. a distinguist  international civil cervant who was a former assistant secretary-general of the United Nations, Deputy Executive director of UNICEF.. he's the first nepali to ever hold such a big post on international level!!
Kul Chandra Gautam was born at Gulmi district of western nepal. There wasn't any school, helth post at that time, so he'd to be condemd in learnin sanskrit from his neighbour but later on he attended Janata Vidyalaya school in Tansen, Palpa but attended SLC from kathmandu where he was top among his schoolmates.
After this, he went to tri-chandra college where he attended his IA and got visa to study at darthmouth college in USA where he majored in international relations... he was a dean's list student and graduated cum laude....Then he went to worldfamous  Woodrow wilson school of international and public affairs at princeton university where he completed his MPA..

Kul chandra gautam was the first ever UNICEF representative in HAITI and also he became chief for latin america and carriben @UNICEF headquarters in New YORK, which was quite an unusual challenge for a south asian guy.. he has held record for being youngest UNICEF country representative in Laos..
Thus for his fantastic works to the international civil area, kul chandra gautam was awarded with Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award in 2008..
Kul Chandra Gautam has certainly made his country proud by accomplishing great success at international level.. he's truly a pride for this nation......

"Lumbini Year 2012"

well, it's a good thing dat 2012 has been declared the Visit Lumbini Year focusing Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, even though at a time when no expected tourists were attracted in Nepal in the Tourism Year- 2011.
The Visit Lumbini Year -2012 that is with both opportunity and challenges to attract internal and external tourists. Also, one of the prominent reasons will be to make Lumbini an "international Buddhist center". But however, there are many challenges ahead as compared to the enthusiasm to declare the Visit Lumbini Year.
The Lumbini Development Trust has made preparations to decorate Lumbini, make welcome gates in roads and highways, and organize various programmes all the year round. The Trust has planned to spend at least Rs. 100 million for making the Lumbini visit year successful.  The Trust is to fill water in the pond and central canal, clean up and to run boats in it, and works are intensified for the same.Messages for visiting Lumbini has also been advertised in foreign media channels to publicize through organizations in countries like China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand and USA.
Trust Member Secretary claims that it will be possible to bring one million tourists to Lumbini as there has been extensive publicity of Lumbini in the international level. The forthcoming visit of Ban Ki-moon to Lumbini will also be instrumental in increasing the attraction of the tourists to Lumbini, he said. RSS
"It is positive that at least our leaders have started to understand importance of tourism in Nepal. Making them participate in such projects, will definitely make them more responsible. In fact, tourism in Nepal is spontaneous so far relying on bare nature providing adventure. Political interferences and development focusing on garnering vote have jeopardize tourism in previous years. However this is positive as they are participating in such promotion activities."                -ITOURNEPAL
But inspte of this, will this be enough to face challanges with India who is speeding up in developing Bodh Gaya( place where Buddha attended his knowledge) as global Buddhist destination or developing Nalanda University as an world buddhist university similarly like Nepal's Lumbini bouddha university.......
The challanges are still tough but all we can hope is for better development of Lumbini and of course "HAPPY LLUMBINI YEAR 2012"!!!!!!!

Who is Prachanda???

For instance.. nobody would have ever thought that a normal Bsc. Agriculture degree holder, who was employed in rural development project, would turn out to be probably one of the greatest change-maker in Nepalese history... even daring to overthrow the 240 yr old SHAH dynasty..... Prachanda, even though is facing his own internal party problems at present{not being too much concentrated by media as always he was in past}, but is still known to world as what   Anirban Roy, an ex-Nepal correspondent of Hindustan Times describes HIM as "Prachanda: Ek Agyat Bidhrohi".. but the real deal is... Should Prachanda be treated as Hero or as a Villian?????
For many people, it is common that a man who has killed more than 13000 nepalese in insurgency period to rise above power, why should he be treated like a hero?? should he be known as an assasinator then?
But, for other people, it's ironical that  Prachanda is the true hero of this nation, who has given voice to millions of downtrodden people in one of the poorest nations of the world.. he's given people a new hope to live their live their way..
So, is he a hero or villian??

THE THEN NEEDS & DEMANDS:
when Prachanda was preparing for the armed rebellion, at that time, Nepal was just getting taste of multi-party democracy after the 3 decades of direct rule by the King. Despite this achievement, the democracy process was getting too slow. Records were constantly fluctuating, but when maoists had started their insurgency period, GDP of Nepla was around 6%, which was a very encouraging figure as schools, bridges, business, hospitals were expanding { जुन अंक त अहिले बल्बल त्यति  को हाराहारी मा पनि छैन ;)} the main reason why maoists declared the armed rebellation was that the government had just rejected their demands without even giving them any proper attention..
many of the people agrees to this fact that government's disapproval was one of the dominant reason which was enough to arise thought of rebelletion on Maoist that led to war..

The damage during these insurgency period was huge, as forecasted by the then finance minister, who had stated the the damage of infrastructure was around $246 million, around 10% of todays Nepal BUDGET  and around 15% of the then Nepal's budget....!!!!
Maoists depended on weapons to threaten government to look after their demands and fulfil it... They killed thousands of innocent people leaving an angry impression to the people in the nation and all around the world....Prachanda and his mates confessed that killings in war is common and they regret for what they have done.
But is this all????
many ordinary people like Prachanda would have choosen far easy way i.e live their life as it goes... but Prachanda choose a far more difficult path..to pursue his convocation that " THE POWER DO COMES FROM GUN" Prachanda risked his life , Prachanda made Maoists the by far most strongest party in the nation...
Not only this, it was because of this insurgency period and because of maoists that The Naion finally got to see social-political change among them..... people started becoming aware of the ongoing politics which is a good sign of course.....
So at last, again arises a question, should Prachanda be considered as a hero or as a villian??????????

"yes we can"....... Obama's 2008 speech

January 8, 2008.

I want to congratulate Senator Clinton on a hard-fought victory here in New Hampshire.

A few weeks ago, no one imagined that we'd have accomplished what we did here tonight. For most of this campaign, we were far behind, and we always knew our climb would be steep.

But in record numbers, you came out and spoke up for change. And with your voices and your votes, you made it clear that at this moment - in this election - there is something happening in America.

There is something happening when men and women in Des Moines and Davenport; in Lebanon and Concord come out in the snows of January to wait in lines that stretch block after block because they believe in what this country can be.

There is something happening when Americans who are young in age and in spirit - who have never before participated in politics - turn out in numbers we've never seen because they know in their hearts that this time must be different.

There is something happening when people vote not just for the party they belong to but the hopes they hold in common - that whether we are rich or poor; black or white; Latino or Asian; whether we hail from Iowa or New Hampshire, Nevada or South Carolina, we are ready to take this country in a fundamentally new direction. That is what's happening in America right now. Change is what's happening in America.

You can be the new majority who can lead this nation out of a long political darkness - Democrats, Independents and Republicans who are tired of the division and distraction that has clouded Washington; who know that we can disagree without being disagreeable; who understand that if we mobilize our voices to challenge the money and influence that's stood in our way and challenge ourselves to reach for something better, there's no problem we can't solve - no destiny we cannot fulfill.

Our new American majority can end the outrage of unaffordable, unavailable health care in our time. We can bring doctors and patients; workers and businesses, Democrats and Republicans together; and we can tell the drug and insurance industry that while they'll get a seat at the table, they don't get to buy every chair. Not this time. Not now.

Our new majority can end the tax breaks for corporations that ship our jobs overseas and put a middle-class tax cut into the pockets of the working Americans who deserve it.

We can stop sending our children to schools with corridors of shame and start putting them on a pathway to success. We can stop talking about how great teachers are and start rewarding them for their greatness. We can do this with our new majority.

We can harness the ingenuity of farmers and scientists; citizens and entrepreneurs to free this nation from the tyranny of oil and save our planet from a point of no return.

And when I am President, we will end this war in Iraq and bring our troops home; we will finish the job against al Qaeda in Afghanistan; we will care for our veterans; we will restore our moral standing in the world; and we will never use 9/11 as a way to scare up votes, because it is not a tactic to win an election, it is a challenge that should unite America and the world against the common threats of the twenty-first century: terrorism and nuclear weapons; climate change and poverty; genocide and disease.

All of the candidates in this race share these goals. All have good ideas. And all are patriots who serve this country honorably.

But the reason our campaign has always been different is because it's not just about what I will do as President, it's also about what you, the people who love this country, can do to change it.

That's why tonight belongs to you. It belongs to the organizers and the volunteers and the staff who believed in our improbable journey and rallied so many others to join.

We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can withstand the power of millions of voices calling for change.
We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics who will only grow louder and more dissonant in the weeks to come. We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.

But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope. For when we have faced down impossible odds; when we've been told that we're not ready, or that we shouldn't try, or that we can't, generations of Americans have responded with a simple creed that sums up the spirit of a people.

Yes we can.

It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation.

Yes we can.

It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom through the darkest of nights.

Yes we can.

It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness.

Yes we can.

It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballot; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.

Yes we can to justice and equality. Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity. Yes we can heal this nation. Yes we can repair this world. Yes we can.

And so tomorrow, as we take this campaign South and West; as we learn that the struggles of the textile worker in Spartanburg are not so different than the plight of the dishwasher in Las Vegas; that the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in America's story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea - Yes. We. Can.

{ if u'r bored readin this text then watch this "yes we can" video by william.........}
